Frequently Asked Questions
Are inserts removable in stone vases and flower pots?
Yes, the inserts are removable — they are easy to clean and make it convenient to change the water for flowers. In flower pots, you can also add and replace soil in the insert and plant directly.
We recommend removing or sealing plastic inserts during winter to protect them.
Is it necessary to seal polymer concrete and granite vases?
Granite vases must be sealed for the winter. Polymer concrete vases have grooves on the sides, making them frost-resistant — sealing is not necessary.
Additionally, we recommend removing or sealing plastic inserts during the winter.
What soil should be used when planting flowers in a polymer concrete planter?
Soil is placed into the removable plastic insert. It is recommended to use special moisture-retaining granules and choose plants that are less demanding in terms of moisture.
How to secure stone vases, planters, and lanterns to a granite slab?
Use silicone adhesive for fastening. If you cannot visit the grave for some time, the vase or lantern can be neatly removed, and the surface easily cleaned.
What kind of insert should be chosen for lanterns made of granite and polymer concrete?
Choose a non-smoking insert of the appropriate size — an insert that is too large can hinder burning due to lack of oxygen (the candle may not burn or may burn the lantern cover).
You can also use a silicone candle with a battery — it’s not affected by wind or rain and won’t go out. It’s important to keep the insert clean from dust and dirt.
Tip: Avoid burning candles on hot summer days — the wax may melt too quickly and overflow.
What to do if paraffin wax spills on a granite covering slab?
The most important thing is to act carefully so as not to damage the stone surface. First, allow the paraffin to harden, then gently scrape it off using plastic tools. After cleaning the surface, leave it to dry in the sun. Removing paraffin stains can take time — the sun will do its work over several months. Do not use strong acids, alkaline cleaners, bleach, or abrasive sponges — these can damage the granite surface or its polish.
What flowers are best to choose for stone grave vases?
We recommend placing fresh flowers in granite or polymer concrete vases — they naturally decorate the gravesite and do not harm the stone. Artificial (plastic) flowers can also be used, but only if they are of high quality. Poor-quality plastic or paint may melt or run in hot weather, damaging the vase’s surface.
